Disillusioned

I'm not too sure what to write abut this painting. I don't really know what to even think about it. This painting took a very long time to complete simply because there came a point of where I didn't know how to continue with it. I knew it wasn't done yet I also had no idea what else was needed.

"Disillusioned" has a base color that I usually never use - blue. Most of my work has a warm tone to it and generally they are earthen. This one has a very cold look to it. There is a tension to this piece. I think the title is very fitting for this reason.

I painted this but I don't even know if I like it. I have a feeling that it will either be loved or hated. I leave that up to you to decide which it is for you.

I used acrylic and oil paints. This painting is highly textured. I did have fun painting it. Painting with texture is incredibly diverting and exciting.
